THE
GAZETTE / BLACKPOOL, UK / FEBRUARY 26, 2005 It's always wise to expect
the unexpected-so having got over the pleasant opening track, Dream of a Black
Horse, inspired by an ancient Vietnamese tune but infused with some hefty guitar
and haunting vocals, you can put money on the shock element of a slowed-to-a-near-halt
version of Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze. And when that's sunk in, try the country
standard Stand by Your Man served up as a monologue. From classic rock to classical
music, it's a decidedly different, quite intriguing collection.
